95NOTES RELAUNCH & REDESIGN

Attention:

We, at 95Notes, have been working extremely hard to accommodate the needs of our contributors, subscribers, followers, and friends. 95Notes would like to thank all of those who have supported us since our founding back in 2007.  We began as an idea between students in an introductory poetry class at Chicago State University taught by exceptional poet and instructor, Dr. Kelly Norman Ellis and it is heart warming to see how much we have grown since then. We have received over 15,000 submissions from all over the world from locally in Chicago all the way to Japan and the United Kingdom!!! …

We have so much to present to you in 2012 and 95Notes Publishing is looking forward to the future, where we will launch, 95Notes Literary Magazine Online . Please send us any ideas that you may have regarding what you would like to see on our website. All of your comments will be taken seriously.

Thank you for your patience while 95NOTES is under construction. Extensive details are coming soon!!! If you have any ideas or comments, please do not hesitate to submit them to 95Notes@gmail.com. Also, please keep submitting as we are still accepting submissions as normal. Thank you.

A Note on Submissions

There has been some confusion on where to send submissions due to a slight oversight on my part when copy/pasting the submission guidelines from my files, which I may or may not have re-read close enough (bad editor!).

You do not, as implied by the total lack of any other indication, submit your work to this blog.  It will not get read, mostly do to the fact that the message system is kinda funky and I end up getting just titles, or truncated work.  But if you send your work to:

fiction & essays: 95notes@gmail.com

poetry & artwork: poetry95notes@gmail.com

(which I failed to mention in the guidelines—doh!), your work will most certainly be read and enjoyed and hopefully selected for publication.

I deeply apologize for this little bit of worry, and have sent emails of notification to anyone who tried to submit via this blog.

Thanks

Iman (poetry editor)

Update

Since summer is now upon us, we (the editors) are trying to come up with some good summer writing ideas.  There is definitly a contest in the mix, as well as a reading.  Still working out the kinks, but check back in the next few weeks for info.
